On Sunday, August 25th, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. the HSUS-Pennsylvania is hosting a Victoria’s Law Rally in partnership with Finding Shelter Animal Rescue and the Upper Merion Township Parks and Recreation Department at the Upper Merion Township Building Park to promote priority bill, SB 44 “Victoria’s Law” which will ban the sale of dogs, cats, and rabbits in pet stores to combat puppy mill cruelty. Members from organizations who rescue dogs, cats and rabbits, canine ambassadors/puppy mill survivors, guest speakers Senator Tom Killion and Senator Andy Dinniman who introduced this bill, Rep. Tim Briggs who is hosting this event in his district and Rep. Joe Ciresi who inspired this rally, and humane legislators will all be in attendance- all we need is you and people you can bring along!

To show your support, we ask that you bring poster boards, photos, and/or your pets who are easily able to handle a crowd (whether puppy mill survivors or rescued). Also, shelters and rescues are welcome to attend with business cards and/or pets representing the rescue (no on-site adoptions permitted). Lucy Noland will be in attendance to hear your stories for a campaign video. We want to hear and share why this bill is so important to you (rain or shine!)

We also encourage you to wear a shade of purple to raise awareness for animal protection. This will be an inspiring day, where you will network with like-minded advocates who all care deeply about ending puppy mills and meet your humane legislators!
