Colette is as sweet as she is beautiful. She was born in a shed and could not be sold due to “always being wet back there.” So, she was surrendered to Finding Shelter when she was six months old and needed medical care for an ectopic ureter.
Colette had a laser surgery to correct her urine leaking issue and then her body needed time to mature so she could be spayed. Her foster family has made the most of the time so she could begin to feel more comfortable indoors and gain her confidence. She has come a long way, but still has her triggers that cause her to be scared and shut down. Colette needs an experienced adopter to help her continue on a path to finding her confidence. She requires a home with a very secure fenced yard with space to run and play with a best dog friend. She needs a dog who will run and chase and wrestle and share their toys.
Colette is gentle and loving and can be very silly. Once she knows you and loves you, you will be loved forever! We are so proud of the progress she has made so far!*
