When we rescued Taylor Swift from a Lancaster County, PA breeding farm we also met her brother Austin Swift but it wasn’t until we found out that their mom was being surrendered to us with Austin a few weeks later that we met the sweet, little tan momma we would come to name Andrea Swift. She hid behind the breeder’s legs but wanted nothing but to jump into the van when her baby boy Austin was placed in a crate for their ride to freedom.

When Austin and Andrea were brought to their foster home (after immediately going to the vet when they left the farm) they were quarantined for a couple of weeks because they needed to be treated for giardia and coccidia (just like Taylor). They were reuinted with Taylor after everyone was cleared and it has been playtime and fun ever since. Andrea (we call her Andie) is still a good momma to her babies and a great playmate for them but she also loves to be babied.

Andie loves completely when she loves a human. She is attentive, loyal, loving, and sweet. When she first meets people she will hand back and find comfort in the people she knows but if you give her time she will not just like you but love you with her whole heart. She doesn’t care about toys, she just wants to be close to you and if you feed her, she will love you even more! After years of producing puppies, it is her turn to be someone’s baby and loved for the rest of her life! *
