Fun companion, snuggle bug, comedian and social butterfly. Those are just some of the best ways that we can describe sweet survivor Tilly!
Tilly spent 6 years producing puppies for profit in a large Pennsylvania commercial kennel. Her allergies caused years of ear infections that went untreated so by the time she made her way to Finding Shelter, the infection was severe and spread to her brain causing encephalitis. She needed surgery to remove her left ear canal and is deaf, but she has no idea that she is different from anyone else!
Tilly would love a home with one other playful dog or as an only dog where she can visit with dog friends to play. She lives with cats in her foster home and while she doesn’t chase them, she does not understand the concept of personal space to might walk over them to get where she wants to go, so would need to live with very dog friendly/dog tolerant cats.
Tilly was born thinking that everyone exists to be her friend. She will sit in your lap for a cuddle or butt scratches, she loves to play and is just a funny, happy girl! She is waiting for her happily ever after!*
*All dogs will go through a transition period after finding a new home and may need a “refresher course” in house-breaking.
