Teo is a happy, active, smart and toy-loving puppy mill survivor who has overcome a lot in his young life. He was born in a Pennsylvania puppy mill and came to Finding Shelter completely shy and shut down, covered in fleas and afraid of everything. Teo gained quite a bit of confidence in his foster home and made remarkable progress in his basic training class. He walks nicely on a leash but hold on to that leash tight, he still spooks easily at sudden movements or noises. No city living for this handsome guy. It is the result of not being touched by humans for the first 17 weeks of his life. He would thrive in an adult only home with a very secure fenced yard with room for him to play but not escape. His foster brother Riley (also looking for a home) is a wonderful companion for him and they play so nicely together but as long as Teo can find a home with a playful and active yet easy going dog companion who he can get to know slowly, he will be happy. He is wonderful at playing fetch and after a long day of play and exercise, he is happy to nap on a big and cozy dog bed. Teo is looking for his very best match. Is it you?*

*All dogs will go through a transition period after finding a new home and may need a “refresher course” in house-breaking.
