Lottie is a sweet but incredibly shy dog. She was turned into an open admissions shelter as unwanted by the people who had her for her whole life because she was too afraid of people. Lottie needs a VERY experienced owner who not only is familar with greyhounds but more importantly has the patience and experience to work with shy/shut down dogs. In time she is coming around and learning to enjoy little things like toys but she has a very long way to go.
Lottie is sweet, but incredibly shy. She is playful with other dogs.
She has had some persistent IBD issues that we are working on correcting.
Lottie is good with dogs!
She is good with cats.
Because of her shyness and skittishness, we do not recommend Lottie live with any children.
A secure, six-foot fence attached to the home is required for Lottie. No exceptions.
Basic training would be a good bonding experience for Lottie. Her shyness might make training classes difficult. She is working on her crate- and house-training.*
*All dogs will go through a transition period after finding a new home and may need a “refresher course” in house-breaking.
